What am I doing this SPRING BREAK 2010!? Partying in Cancun? Roadtripping to Daytona Beach? Not quite. Here I am in gross, rainy, coldish, dark (meaning nighttime) Brooklyn, learning some JavaScript.
I am getting a little nervous, because I am about halfway through the w3 schools tutorials, and they start bringing up Algebra and Arithmetic. I am the girl who constantly pestered my math teachers “why do I have to learn this? why why why?”, which is why I dropped out of algebra in 8th grade only to have the most ridiculous Algebra I class my freshman year of high school. My teacher was from Egypt and a very smart woman, but due to my fellow students teasing and us struggling with her accent and pretty much being dumb 14 year olds, I definitely didn’t learn that much and happily took my B.
ANYWHO… now it comes back to haunt me! I hope that we review this in class because I have a very hard time just looking at a chart full of numbers and letters that aren’t forming sentences and understanding it. It took me a few minutes to realize I was trying to read it but pretending to get it, then I realized there was no one watching me.
